Train Kiln

​

The original design for the train kiln comes from John Neely, Professor of Ceramics at Utah State University.  I studied under John while completing my BFA degree and subsequently returned after my MFA to work as his studio coordinator and technology instructor. Over the years I  have been a part of building several generations of the kiln at USU and have now built dozens of them throughout the US and Canada. Although I have several wood kiln designs in my building repertoire, the train is the most requested design.
